Spring Break Assignment:

Complete any past due assignments.

Get out and observe design in places other than the web:
  • art - museums, galleries, studios
  • print - brochures, billboards, magazines
  • nature

Think about web designs. Browse for appealing, usable site layouts (HTML sites, or sites with a bit of Flash. No Full Flash sites. Save URLs of ones that you like or are inspiring for your project and make notes. For sites that have good css styled examples - see resources & design agencies (good examples of portfolio styles) and inspiration sites (good examples of css and web standards based sites).

Start some preliminary sketches - pencil and paper! Make plenty quickly. Bring sketches, or mood board, or Web site ideas to class on April 22.
